Apple Cider and Pumpkin bars

mmmmmmm.....that time of year that I start to crave those nummy little naughty treats. I'm thinking I'm going to fire up the oven later today and bake some bread. I love to bake, cook, create in the kitchen. It's such a feeling of coziness, warmth, all those good things.
Last week my hubby and I traveled to Las Vegas for business. We had a splendid time together chatting, laughing and just being together. Too many couples today in my humble little ol' opinion just don't enjoy each other's company. It makes me so sad and so disapointed that other people choose not to have what we have. I believe it is a choice-it's being intentional. I don't always feel like being intentional about our relationship, but I know that in order to have a relationship that thrives, I must make that choice.

I've had a bit of a hard time coming home and adjusting. The weather was so incredible out West, low 80's and when we arrived back home, the following morning it was 29 degrees. Talk about shock!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has snowed and rained here most days and just been so darn cold. Haven't even gotten around to buying a stinkin' pumpkin for my front porch since I know they will freeze.
BUT, to celebrate the season I do have a couple of cards to share.

These were both created using all GCD papers. I also used a Maya Road chipboard frame, and Martha Stewart glitter.



This little Happy Haunting I used my Hero Arts Stamps on-I can't tell you how many times I have reached for this particular stamp set-very handy set indeed.

I'm off to enjoy the rest of my Friday-I LOVE Friday's here at our house. I love to plan and prepare for the weekend and the weekend means my kiddos are home:) I am planning up some homemade pizzas for our Friday Night Family Night along with Caramel Apples. Someone is going to get whooped tonight in a game of Mancala:)
